you got to be kidding

the original context of this image has not been photoshopped.

if you are wondering what is sticking out of this mannequin's... er... there, it's a shoe.

not sure what message these people are trying to convey, but it sure is not too kind. of all places to display a shoe on sale, why there?

hmm.. any ideas?

weeLee + photoshop = nonsense

thank God for Photoshop.

samuel could not get his head through the railing to be between the bowling balls. but Photoshop has helped him achieve the impossible.

the original photo can be seen here.

yes, it's a rather sloppy job...

overseas II

... and this is the view of hong kong city from the peak.

it was not a holiday - it was for a full 4d3n conference. although i enjoyed the trip, i was tired and relieved when it was finally over.

will i be doing that again? not anytime soon i guess.

overseas

i have seen this view from pictures and on television, but nothing beats being there and seeing it yourself.

this is hong kong city from star ferry terminal.

moonrise

since i did not catch the sunrise, maybe a moonrise will do.

sadly, the situation during which this photograph was taken is something i do not wish to remember...

hush

pastor caleb is preaching. please be quiet and pay attention.

adorable this little boy is. i'm sure he knows that he is going to have his photograph taken. that explains his pose.

here is another look.

walk on

it's broken.

i don't know how many more times this is going to happen to me. it's things like these that makes me hate myself.

but life has not ended. i'm still on my way home.

the treasure hunt continues.

they left out one

it was near Christmas 2005.

my uncles saw this particular newspaper article, and asked me to do my thing with the help of Photoshop.

although it was sad to go through this, a memorable Christmas celebration followed.

see you again soon, grandpa.

life in the office

i remebered wondering if i will ever get to work in a nice office building with my own workspace, friendly colleagues and good working environment.

this company really looked after its employees very well. however, like many places there is always someone who knows how to ruin another's life. i do not want to repeat what i said (to him) here - i will just do my part to learn from my mistake (if it was mine in the first place anyway).

nevertheless, i will miss working here.

riverside II

another evening, another river, and another picture.

this one has a nice Venice-style to it.

riverside

taken while walking along a river bank one evening.

although the river is not too nice to look at, the well-lit evening sidewalk is just what i enjoy.

brother @ piano

here is my brother having a feel of the piano in a hotel lounge.

nice backdrop this lounge has.

happy birthday

here is a rehearsal snapshot from the 5th CDPC anniversary celebration.

the drama was really fun. from transforming a human's voice into that of a senior demon's and adding visual effects to the light sabers.

hometown

it has been quite a while since i last went back to my hometown.

here is a familiar scene - a roadside hawker stall.

light on me

walking around alone one night on an island.

i just like walkways at night when they are so well lit.

2005-08-04 05:07

it was 5:07 am in the morning. i wonder why i woke up that early, because i did not have to.

wanted to catch the wings of dawn, but it was (going to be) just clouds on the horizon.

but i will always remember this look of the moon above the coconut tree.

first house

the lighting created the right ambience for this one.

calm

i went walking alone on an island one afternoon.

it was near the monsoon season, and the seas were rough.

however, the water in this lagoon was calm and one can see through onto the sand below.

after the rain

the sky is the Artist's canvas and gallery, where the exhibits change everyday.

the view outside my window is always pleasant after a downpour.

adding the sunset to it makes the picture complete.

estate

it was a hot day, and we were on our way back from church camp in PD. we stopped for a while and i ran into the estate beside the road.

not only to hide from the hot sun, but to enjoy the view.

this one reminds me of my late grandpa's oil palm estate which i visited only once.

highway

dad had to travel occassionally at work. on this particular day, i had to drive him to the airport at 6 in the morning.

knowing what will happen under low light conditions and without using the flash, i decided to give it a try. although there were many rejects, the end result is just as i expected.

(had to repair it a bit in Photoshop though)

house

i saw this on my way home one night. it's a good thing my camera was just in my pocket.

camera fun

its amazing what one can do with a digital camera, a computer and some sense of humour.

one of a kind

i can only take one such photo. numerous subsequent attempts failed to reproduce such an image, with the correct focus and angle and all.

it is featured on the church website.

treasure hunter

some people go around focused on the difficulties in life, and wonder why life is so meaningless and full of worries.

yes, i acknowledge the condition of the world that we live in, but i do not want to let that shape my perspective of life. there are tears and laughter, and i choose to enjoy the laughter and learn from the tears in this journey of mine.

there are treasures to hunt until i get home.
