much has been worked on
and all was ready
everyone was anticipating
and along you came
with a retarded reason
stopped everything
giving them nothing more
but one less reason
to celebrate as one
happy 50th, to you fools

lagoon night
two nights i looked out into the lagoon.
what i saw reminded me of a miniature scenery in a glass container which i made and gave away.
there is no need for me to hold it in my hands anymore. the solitary lamps along the night sandy path - i now find myself in that scenery.

nine in one
i like the way love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control is written here:
but what happens when we live God’s way?
He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—
things like affection for others,
exuberance about life,
serenity.
we develop a willingness to stick with things,
a sense of compassion in the heart,
and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people.
we find ourselves involved in loyal commitments,
not needing to force our way in life,
able to marshal and direct our energies wisely.

the positive look
"you stay so near your workplace. you don't have to wake up too early on work days. you're doing what you like to do at work. you're spoiled, you won't know what the real world is like."
so it was said to me.
but let me see it this way:
"this is a great blessing. from 30 minutes by train to work, it is now 30 minutes walk. i will be thankful. it is a big world out there, and i will face my own set of challenges. and the panel clinic - two in fact - are in the town area nearby. how good can God be to me?"
anyway, i just paid my panel doc a visit.
doc: i haven't seen you in a long while. you're still working in this company?
me: yes
doc: how long have you been there?
me: coming to two years.
doc: the last time you came was... last year?
me: (wow, you remember me?)
doc: since you so seldom use your card. why not use it for other things? come for a check-up or something?
me: oh, okay sure. thanks.
it was difficult to talk in my condition. a very short drive later, i was home and sleeping the night and most of the following day away.
so it was said to me.

stinky piece
someone said,
you may not be able to control how your day started,
but you can control how you react.
it was a lovely morning on a Friday the 13th
i got up as usual and headed for the office
came to my desk and wanted to sit
but stopped on seeing a white fabric on it
nothing spooky or anything like that
it was drenched but by then it was damp
if by water, we can go about our business
but by sweat - that's total gross-ness
on putting away the unpleasant thingy
it didn't return my desk back to the ordinary
the keyboard and mouse and pads and papers
played their part in drying the dampness
soon my saviour the cleaner came my way
i never appreciated her more than this day
to her and other days she did merely her duty
but today - to me - it was a great necessity
my manager upon knowing the unfortunate incident
wasted no time notifying the negligent
a public apology and an offer to compensate
could not undo what was done, so i said...
it's all right, it's okay, it's not that all bad
however gross or stinky it is, let's not be sad
i still will forgive and won't remember that
let's all have fun and have a great day, no sweat!
everyone knows and everyone cares
no hard feelings and we can all rest
we had fun as how we always do best
for a bad start to a day did not end sad
